In the summer of 2007 Jan Spence and Dawn Hudson of Jacksonville, Florida enlisted me for an event consultation for a sixteenth birthday party they were throwing in July. I strive to offer clients a variety of services from full-scale planning where I handle every detail from beginning to end to a smaller package where I advise them in developing a theme which they then execute. Such was the case with this event where I advised these clients in the theme, design, and decorations. Together we decided to "fool" the birthday girl (who is down-to-earth, outdoorsy and athletic) by making her think the party would be a girly, elaborate affair. Thus I created this invitation to fit the theme:
Thus I was able to take some of the burden off of the hosts by giving them direction and plenty of ideas for the party. Consulting on this event was a pleasure!
Since the party was to actually take place at a campground I came up with this logo which Jan and Dawn then utilized for t-shirts and caps:
