Variety of Events in 2006

In 2006 I continued to garner new clients and was able to plan a variety of events. In March of that year I was able to assist my favorite Nashville real estate agent, Rick Florian, with a luncheon for his roster of clients. He generously made a huge batch of delicious gumbo while I handled the miscellaneous details for him including creating the invitations, securing the venue and maintaining the guest list.
In April of 2006 I planned a breakfast meeting for another wonderful organization, DATA (Debt, Aids, Trade - Africa). This event took place at the end of Gospel Music Week and served as a time for several local artists to gather to hear more about the work DATA was accomplishing and hoping to accomplish at that time. I again handled the details for this organization including venue arrangements and guest list monitoring along with the services I always provide such as set-up and clean up for the event.
Also in April of that year I had the privilege of working with Creative Trust Management to plan an event for the band Third Day. Together the band and management firm decided to host a fan appreciation weekend entitled the "Great Gomer Gathering." Along with their amazing staff I worked to plan a weekend of events for their wonderful group of committed fans.
I was again hired by Blood:Water Mission in March and September of 2006 to coordinate several weekend retreats for their board members. I was charged with securing a venue for the meetings as well as handling the menus for the weekend. It is always a pleasure to manage the behind-the-scenes details for my clients so they are able to completely focus on the tasks at hand.
As the year drew to a close I was hired by Runway Network, helmed by Charlie Peacock, for a different sort of project. Charlie and his lovely wife Andi enlisted me for organizational project upon which they were embarking. At their direction I served in a variety of ways including clearing out clutter, organizing office space, managing storage and even hung several pictures, awards and gold records along the way. Functioning in an expansive role akin to a personal assistant I was happy to help them streamline their busy lives.
